This course delves into sustainable and innovative approaches to repurposing industrial structures and objects. Integrating principles of sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion, it aligns with the New European Bauhaus vision and addresses gaps identified in the Futures Designed project.
Students will explore adaptive reuse concepts, circular economy practices, and green infrastructure integration to transform outdated industrial elements into vibrant, multifunctional spaces.
Through theoretical insights and practical applications, the course fosters eco-conscious design thinking while preserving heritage, preparing students to create sustainable urban environments that meet contemporary societal and ecological needs.
